ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Arrival
Arrival: Flight to Israel. On arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport you will be met by our VIP representative and escorted to your vehicle for comfortable transfer to Tel Aviv.
DAY 2 - Jaffa, Ayalon Institute, Rothschild Street
Jaffa: First we'll enjoy strolling through the narrow streets of the ancient city of Jaffa, whose port was the largest in Israel for thousands of years. Today Jaffa is a magical place that attracts Israelis, Christians and tourists from all over the world.
Ayalon Institute (the bullet factory): We'll visit a clandestine operation that produced ammunition for the Israelis under the nose of the British during the British occupation of Palestine after WW2, its existence was a secret and located underground.
Rothschild Street: We will end the day in the heart of Tel Aviv that has been declared a World Heritage Site of UNESCO because of the multitude of houses built in a very special architectural style called. On our way to the hotel we will stop by at Rabin square where Yitzchak Rabin, Israel's Prime Minister, was assassinated by a right wing extremist in 1995.
DAY 3 - Caesarea, Haifa, Acre, Rosh HaNikra
Caesarea: Leaving Tel Aviv in the morning, we will drive along the coastal road to the Roman city, Caesarea which was one of the major ports of the east, built by King Herod The Great.
Haifa: Then we continue north to drive through Haifa, the city built on the slopes of the Carmel. There we overlook the impressive Bahai gardens and the seaward view to the north of Israel.
Acre: Then a northwards drive to the city of Acre for a magnificent step back in history. Here we visit the Knights Halls, a series of very well preserved halls that were constructed during the Crusaders era in the 12th century.
Rosh Hanikra: Then we continue to the most northerly Israeli point on the Mediterranean Sea called “Rosh Hanikra” to admire the spectacular grottos created by the sea in the white chalk rock. Then we drive east to Tiberias for an overnight stay.
DAY 4 - Nazareth, Sepphoris
Nazareth: We start with Nazareth “the church of the annunciation,” the site where the angel announced Mary’s immaculate conception. Then imagine an olden time in the “Nazareth Village” that reenacts life in Nazareth and the entire land of Israel at the beginning of the Roman era.
Sepphoris: A major Roman and Byzantine city. Here the inhabitants decorated their houses in an exceptional way. Sepphoris is also known as “the city of mosaics,” named because of the multitude of mosaics in the streets, villas, and public buildings. We then head back to the hotel for the night.
DAY 5 - Golan Heights, Elrom Cinema, Birak Ram, Banias River
Golan Heights: Starting with Mount Bental to get a great view and perspective of the area, including the border with Syria. Then we continue to “the valley of tears,” a strategic battleground from 1973 and the surrounding area.
Elrom cinema: Watch an authentic movie about the great armory battle that took place nearby during the “Yom Kippur War” in 1973.
Birkat Ram: Then we head on to “Birkat Ram” to take pleasure in the view of the tranquil and mysterious lake in a caldera of a volcano, a rare natural phenomenon.
Banias River: Continuing onwards to the beautiful Banias River with its abundance of nature, rushing water, waterfalls and a complex of well preserved temples. We will then head back to our hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 6 - Sea of Galilee, Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum
Sea of Galilee: All aboard for a boat ride on the sea of Galilee where many stories in the New Testament took place. Take a short walk to the ancient boat museum at Ginosar to learn how a boat was found in the sea of Galilee then excavated and found to date back to the time of Jesus.
Mount Of Beatitudes: Then we proceed to the Mount Of Beatitudes, a serene, pious and calming place to see the Church of Beatitudes and a view of the whole lake.
Capernaum: Enter into history as we reach Capernaum, a spiritual place – “the town of Jesus.” Visit an archeological site from the time of Jesus that includes both a church and a synagogue. Later tour a kibbutz, a special communal settlement that only exist in Israel. Closing our day we head south through the Judean desert to an overnight at Ein-Gedi.
DAY 7 - Ein Gedi, Masada, Botanical Garden
Ein Gedi: An Oasis awaits us! At the nature reserve of Ein Gedi, appreciate this magnificent oasis in the heart of the Judean desert. You'll see a waterfall and nature paths surrounded by desert.
Masada: Then prepare yourselves for an unforgettable story of determination, as we head towards the majestic Masada with its breathtaking views of the Judean Desert to learn about the Jewish rebellion against the Romans in 72 CE.
Botanical Garden: we'll head back to Ein-Gedi to round up our day at the botanical garden of this Kibbutz for a relaxing stroll through beautiful gardens. Stay overnight at Ein-Gedi.
DAY 8 - Be'er Sheva, Mitzpe Ramon
Be'er Sheva: Be'er Sheva is our first stop of the day where we visit the Air Force Museum, with its diversity of aircrafts and helicopters used by the Israeli Air Force. Later you’ll be intrigued by having a glimpse of Israeli agriculture in the desert. Hear how desert is turned into green fields when we visit the research and development center of the Negev desert.
Mitzpe Ramon: Then back to the desert we go as we press on to Miztpe Ramon to see the largest crater in the world. Continuing south, we'll reach the border crossing in Eilat and cross over to Jordan. Spend the night in Jordan.
DAY 9 - Wadi Rum, Jordanian Dinner
Wadi Rum: We head towards Wadi Rum to experience the serenity of this moonlike landscape, the place where Lawrence of Arabia lived. Leave the road to board your jeep to venture on a 4 hour jeep safari in the red sands of Wadi Rum. After an authentic Bedouin lunch at camp Zarb, we will drive to Petra.
Jordanian Dinner in Petra: You will have a special activity presented by the professional and friendly chefs as they teach you how to make appetizing authentic Jordanian dishes. Then sit and enjoy the delicious dishes you have prepared during this a wonderful experience, a pleasant change from dinner at the hotel.
DAY 10 - Petra
Petra: Visit one of the new wonders of the world, “Petra.” Walk down the famous Siq and be awed by the treasury, the tombs with their swirls of colors in the rocks and marvel at this incredible place. Enjoy lunch at Basin restaurant before rambling back to the vehicle to drive to the Dead Sea for an overnight stay.
DAY 11 - Mount Nebo, St Georges Church, Jerash
Mount Nebo: Depart from the hotel to travel to Mount Nebo to look across at Israel from the place that Moses saw the Holy land.
St Georges Church: Continue the short drive to Madaba to visit St Georges Church with its famous mosiac of the map. Hard to believe the accuracy of it!
Jerash: View a preserved ancient roman city showing the grandeur of Imperial Rome, then lunch at Lebanese house in Jerash before crossing the border from Jordan back to Israel and spending the night in Jerusalem.
DAY 12 - Mount of Olives, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Wailing Wall, City of David
Mount of Olives: Back to the Holy Land in the Holy City of Jerusalem. The day starts at the Mount of Olives for a spectacular view of the old city of Jerusalem. There’s no doubt that this is one of the most awe inspiring viewpoints in the world.
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher: Continue to the Jaffa gate to walk the Via Dolorosa to the holiest place for Christianity, which is The Church Of The Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected.
The Wailing Wall: We continue to the Wailing Wall and visit the Western Wall Tunnels. The archaeological discoveries excavated in a vast concealed tunnel along the Western Wall will astound you, the history and archaeology will amaze you.
The City of David: Visit the City of David and see the ruins of the city from 3000 thousands years ago. Walk through a tunnel where great priests and pilgrims walked to reach the Temple from the city: This tunnel was used by the inhabitants of Jerusalem 2000 years ago. Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 13 - Israel Museum, Yad Vashem, Church of Nativity, Cremisan Monastery
The Israel Museum: Our first stop of the day, where we will see the model of second period of Jerusalem and also the “shrine of the book” that houses the “dead sea scrolls”.
Yad Vashem: This is the most impressive Holocaust museum in the world. A striking design by a Canadian Jewish man named Moshe Safdi.
Church of Nativity: We will take a trip to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus Christ. We will enjoy a local lunch at the Grotto Restaurant located next to the Shepherd Fields in Bet Sahur.
Cremisan Monastery: We round off our day in the Cremisan Cellars located at the Cremisan monastery, visit the winery & enjoy wine tasting as you glance at the outstanding view which overlooks Bethlehem and the Southern area of Jerusalem.
DAY 14 - Departure
Departure: Free day in Jerusalem and transfers to Ben Gurion Airport in accordance with the flight schedule. Meet with our VIP representative who will assist you with all VAT refunds, security and passport control regulations. (please remember hotel check out time till 12:00).
